Pablo Campos

Hi there! I’m Pablo.

I’m originally from Mexico and moved to Victoria three years ago. My background is in Industrial Engineering, and I recently completed a Computer Science diploma. Back in university, I volunteered as a tutor. I loved it so much that I later became the general coordinator of the society, which remains one of the most meaningful experiences of my life.

Music has always played an important role in my life. I picked up the guitar back in elementary school, and eventually started a cover band with some friends. I don’t want to toot my own horn, but we were surprisingly good, and we even performed in local pubs and restaurants for a couple of memorable years.

Dancing wasn’t my strength at first; I felt nervous and clumsy, which I think is common for many beginners. Curiosity led me to Latin dance classes, where I found a new passion. As I moved through different cities in Mexico, I kept practicing my moves and learning new styles, and the dancing community always made me feel welcome and supported. Now dancing is an essential part of who I am.

I am really excited to help the VLDA community grow, to dance together with all of you, and to keep learning and sharing our passion for dance.

Happy dancing!
