Who We Are

The Victoria Latin Dance Association is dedicated to investing in our community by supporting and promoting local artists and dance instructors, while fostering opportunities for community-building and social, artistic, educational, and cultural growth throughout Victoria and the surrounding areas of BC. We're operated by a volunteer board of directors and a committed volunteer support and leadership team. We are proud to be guided by our motto, Community-Led, Community-Focused.

We organize indoor and outdoor dance events focused on the most popular Latin dances, including Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, Merengue, and Cha Cha. Almost all of our events include an introductory lesson to get everybody dancing. For more information, click the button below.

To inspire, educate, and connect individuals from all walks of life through the universal language of Latin dance. We believe Latin dance is more than steps—it’s expression, connection, and a powerful tool for personal and collective growth. Through our events and initiatives, we offer a welcoming space for everyone to explore the joy of dance.

Our Vision

To be a leading force in celebrating and advancing Latin dance in Victoria by creating an inclusive, dynamic community where individuals—regardless of age, background, or experience—can learn and thrive through the art of Latin dance. We actively support and collaborate with local instructors and musicians to enrich the cultural fabric of our region.

Our goal for the near future is to collaborate with different dance schools and teachers in BC and beyond to bring out-of-town teachers, events with live music, intensive workshops and more!
